YOUR WORKSPACE

Files & storage

Your personal folders, host files and connected drives.

Your own home

Every account has private Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures, Music and Videos folders. The desktop displays the same Desktop folder as Files. Preview images, edit text and move selections between folders. Deleted personal files go to private trash and can be restored.

Disks and host folders

Connect a USB disk and mount it from Settings → Disks. Administrators can configure automatic mounting. EveryOS never formats a disk or touches the system disk. Host-file access uses your linked Linux account and explicit access rules; it is separate from your private EveryOS home.

Google Drive and transfers

An administrator first configures the server’s Google client. Connect your own Google account to browse My Drive and Shared with me, then copy files in either direction. Transfers show progress, speed and time left and can be cancelled. Cloud access requires that separate connection.

Editing, selection and limits

Use keyboard shortcuts and multiple selection, restore trash or explicitly empty it. Text editing checks concurrent changes instead of silently overwriting a newer file. Host roots have separate permissions. Browser folder uploads and folder archive downloads are not supported; consult the source guide for upload and search limits.
